I am Shana, I was born in Lleida, bred in Madrid and I’ve been living in Barcelona for 10 years.
I studied Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Assets (that is where my taste for watercolours comes from) and illustration at Escola Joso, with renowkned teachers such as Sagar Forniés. Later on, I completed a Disney Comic training organised by Egmont Magazines, with internationally well-known teachers such as Daan Jippes, Ulrich Schröder and Fernando Güell.
More later, I did ‘El Gato Honorato quiere conocer mundo‘ (in spanish and catalan) a tale to Nice Tales, a poem book ‘Mueren los colores‘ by Pablo Patiño and ‘Quadern de la plaça Sant Just‘ with Editorial Consulta, Libri e Progetti.
I am currently working in Proyecto Kahlo magazine and I collaborate with Proyecto Tournesol and children publishing house Babidi-bú.
I take life as a non-stop learning experience, which leads me to be constantly pursuing new challenges that feed my creative spirit.
I love coffee in the morning, nature, feminism, yoga, mugendo, 20’s cartoon and rock & roll. I like to walk with my rastafari dog and enjoy blues and jazz live music too.
All my work is km 0 made in Barcelona. The paper that I use is recycled, it complies with ISO Standard 9706, acid free and without optical brightness additives.
